ABM Community Memberships

The Process of Becoming a Member

In order to ensure the value-aligned cohesion of the ABM Community, we make sure every new member is a good match. This starts with a conversation about you, your values, experience, and relationships with Indigenous people. It is ok if you do not have any yet.

If we think you are a good fit, we invite you to attend one of our Online Connectors as our guest. Your guest participation allows you to understand ABM better and evaluate if we are right for you. The process works both ways. Our members provide feedback, especially if they are excited about the opportunities you bring. If our members do not think the ABM Community can support your goals effectively, a membership offer does not proceed.

Cost for Membership

Indigenous govenments, their departments, and development corporations always participate for free.

We intentionally do not display pricing on our website for companies because ABM is not a one-size-fits-all offering. Our process is about exploring whether there’s a strong mutual fit, between you, us, and the ABM community.

Before discussing costs, we invite you to meet our team, engage with the ABM Community, and explore the opportunities that could be available to you through membership. Once there is a shared understanding of the value, what we charge will make sense and be worth it.

Our focus is on relationships, not transactions. That’s why we prioritize value alignment and upfront clarity about goals over traditional sales approaches.

We do not offer sponsorships.

We place greater importance on social capital and community than on financial contributions. Therefore, we do not offer sponsorships. Instead, members earn the place they want to hold in the ABM Community by demonstrating leadership, accountability, generosity, and active engagement.

We recognize ABM Members whose engagement elevates their standing in the Community as ABM Co-Creators and ABM Leaders. By decentering money and centering relationships, we are building something more resilient, more just, and more transformative than any corporate sponsorship could.
