Solidifying Connections: Our Annual Community Gathering
Annual ABM Community Gathering
November 25 to 27, 2025
Tk'emlúps te Secwe̓pemc Territory
Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops, BC
Over three days, decision-makers meet intentionally, creating a deliberately structured space for meaningful connections that lead to concrete outcomes, from new friendships to mutually beneficial deals.
ACG is not a typical conference. It’s a place to intensify collaborations, reconnect with friends, make new connections, and see partnerships and projects take shape based on shared values and a commitment to ongoing collective action. Decision-makers do not meet to transact, but to deepen relationships, listen, learn, and co-create opportunities aligned with Indigenous sovereignty. Rooted in Indigenous sophistication, they work together to advance ABM’s vision of a livable planet.
Hard Conversations, Better Business
As ABM Members engage, they develop critical perspectives and increasingly sophisticated business practices, confronting the hard truth that business operates within settler colonial systems that clash with Indigenous ways of being, knowing, and relating to land.
Innovation at ABM emerges from creating and navigating compromises to pursue business models that operate without threatening the right of Indigenous people to exist.
At ACG, ABM Members:
take part in meetings within their respective ABM Spheres to spark or develop sector-focused opportunities and collaborations;
participate in dialogue circles that foster authentic conversations that would derail the relentless “money train” of other conferences. Youth voices are amplified to inform discussions, challenge assumptions, and support decision-making for future generations; and
meet with decision-makers in up to 17 private, 20-minute pre-matched meetings designed to achieve concrete business goals.
Let’s talk. Reach out to schedule a conversation and explore how you can take part.
We encourage all Indigenous governments and development corporations to get involved early. The earlier the engagement, the greater the value.
